Our local team are all Congolese. We have insight and experience of the business environment in Kivu and the reality of daily life, which means that our work is relevant and responsive to the specific situation facing our partners.

Our team in London are responsible for financial management, fundraising and grant management, communications, staff development and coordinating the activities of our expert network of volunteer collaborateurs. We are frequent visitors to Kivu and work closely with our Bukavu office to help secure and direct support to our partners that can be transformative to their business.

La Difference is represented by two legal entities that in practice work together on a daily basis:
La Différence DRC - a cooperative registered in DRC
La Différence UK - a charity registered in England & Wales
Oversight of our operations in the DRC is the responsibility of its Management Committee, whilst in the UK a Board of Trustees have responsibility for our work.
